Following their departure from Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark label and production, "Congo Ashanti" is the group's first release since "Heart Of The Congos."

With contributions from an all-star cast of musicians such as Sly Dunbar & Santa Davis, the album retains a very groovy feel, powerful messages and haunting melodies from Cedric Myton.
