With festival SZN approaching Ec2a's Original Pirate Material series, the OG 12" label arm versus all its siblings, returns hot off the back of the Fonzo EP (+ Capo link-up). 007 is a collab between two of the hottest underground acts of now, fusing LATAM and UK sonics from across the pond. As solo producers, INVT and Introspekt are fully flying their own flags so expect flames throughout on this one.

The EP kicks off with 'Seismic Activity', a rolling stepper with a nod to Salt n Pepa setting the pace. The energy picks-up on the A2, the first hint of that Latin X UK crossover. A signature INVT Miami drum pattern with offbeat claps maintaining Londoness and that skippy Introspekt sound. 'DIME SI SE ESCUCHA' translated is 'tell me if you can hear?' Can you?

'Ayo DJ' comes with a hype man contribution from DJ Teck Turna on the B1, it's giving if Garage House, Dubstep and Grime, had a baby, in the US. Closing things out we have ME PRENDI. More freaky in vibe (and translation). Sexy, dubby 4/4 best fit for all night dancing (amongst other things) until sunrise at least.
